SpiceJet to connect Sharjah with Varanasi, Lucknow

Mumbai: Second largest low-cost carrier SpiceJet has said it will soon be connecting Varanasi and Lucknow daily with Sharjah, taking its number of international destinations to eight.

"Sharjah will be our second destination in the UAE after Dubai," the airline said in a statement, adding while booking for Lucknow-Sharjah started yesterday, the same for Varanasi-Sharjah will commence on March 11.
The airline is also offering introductory airfares of Rs 8,999 (one way inclusive of all taxes) to all flights to Sharjah from Delhi, Varanasi and Lucknow.

The airline, which enjoys 19.3 per cent market share, currently operates four daily flights to Dubai from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kochi.

The airline also said it will also connect Lucknow with New Delhi.
The daily flights on the Varanasi-Sharjah and Lucknow- Sharjah will begin from March 7 and March 11, respectively, the airline added.

With this, SpiceJet will be operating on eight international and 45 domestic destinations.
SpiceJet Chief Executive Neil Mills said, "With the inclusion of Lucknow, we expand our network further both in domestic and international sectors."
